Official Synopsis: Groundbreaking and iconic, 90210's fourth season finds most of the cast beginning their first year of college at California University, moving out on their own, and facing the challenges of adult life.
Our Take: College, baby! Time to party!
Or, in the case of the 90210’ers, time to… cheat on a placement exam, get a college radio show hosting gig, pledge a fraternity and then boycott because of bigoted behavior, get discriminated against, buy a new Porsche, get carjacked, buy a gun, get engaged, go to Vegas, take back the night, discover you have a half-sister, get hooked on crystal meth, get pregnant, begin a secret romance, attend an animal rights rally, get arrested, come out of the closet, appear in a beefcake calendar, get the lead role in a play, and have a jousting match over a mud pit.
Man, you’ve got to love this show. What amazes me is that the above activities are just part of what happened during Beverly Hills 90210: The Fourth Season. How the heck did they come up with enough plotlines to fill 10 years’ worth of episodes if that’s just half of one season’s storylines? I have no idea.
While none of the 90210 DVD sets have had anything really exciting in terms of added value content, The Fourth Season doesn’t even try, relegating 90210 to the status of bare bones TV-on-DVD, just like so many of Paramount’s releases. This is a trend that’s getting old.
Beverly Hills 90210: The Forth Season is a fun collection of episodes. Since I had stopped watching the show for the most part by this time when it originally aired, it’s both nostalgic and new to go back and watch the episodes now.
