An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder
STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 28th

Official Synopsis:
A follow up to the highly successful, An Evening With Kevin Smith, Evening Harder includes wildly funny, irreverent Q&A sessions in London and Toronto with one of Hollywood's most gifted and hilarious filmmakers. This is yet another chance to get up close and personal with the man that brought you Dogma, Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back!

Our Take:
If you're not a Kevin Smith fan, I can't imagine that An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder will do much for you. Basically what you get here is four hours’ worth of a guy talking dirty, swearing, telling inappropriate stories about his marriage, insulting people, and more of the same. Of course, if you are a Kevin Smith fan, it's a little slice of heaven on Earth.

It's hard to say what makes these lectures of Smith's so much fun, but they are. Besides being witty and quick with the jokes, Smith has a hypnotic way of talking, tells ridiculously interesting stories, and has a habit of going off on some of the most fascinating tangents you've ever heard. There's one case where an audience member asks Smith about writer's block, and Smith basically ends up discussing the merits of Dora the Explorer for twenty minutes before eventually getting back to talking about writer's block. It sounds inane, but it's hysterical.

My only suggestion is to watch disc two’s London show first. Both the London and the Toronto talks are fantastic, but for my money, Toronto is much funnier. Watching it first makes London slightly less enjoyable by comparison. Reverse the order, and you're good to go.

In addition to almost four hours' worth of programming, An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder includes two short bonus features as well.

* Toronto Limo Ride (12 minutes) - Smith pontificates during his limo ride to his engagement in Toronto.
* London: Man on the Street (6 minutes) - Smith and Jason Mewes talk to people on the streets of London.

With surprise appearances from some Kevin Smith regulars, lots of talk about Affleck, and a ton of fat jokes, An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder is the perfect fix to hold you over until Smith's next film.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
