Robot Chicken: Season One
Official Synopsis:

Old-school stop-motion animation and fast-paced satire are the hallmarks of this eclectic show created by Seth Green and Matt Senreich. Action figures find new life as players in frenetic sketch-comedy vignettes that skewer TV, movies, music and celebrity. It's television especially formulated for the Attention Deficit Disorder generation. Critic's Quotes: " Watch the 15-minute premiere of 'Robot Chicken', Cartoon Network's newest [adult swim] entry, and I all but guarantee you'll laugh harder, and more often, than at any current prime-time sitcom twice its length." - David Bianculli, NY Daily News

Our Take:
If every TV show and movie were as funny as Robot Chicken, I seriously think the world would be a better place.

Basically a horribly twisted sketch comedy show starring action figures, dolls, and various other toys, Robot Chicken is hands down one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The brainchild of actor Seth Green, this is one of those shows that kind defies description; you just have to see it. Whether it's The Real World starring super-heroes, Optimus Prime in a prostate cancer PSA, or one of my personal favorites, the reality-television-skewering "World's Most One-Sided Fistfights Caught on Tape," Robot Chicken will have you giggling uncontrollably. You might think there's never a good reason to giggle, but there is, and it's called Robot Chicken.

In addition to being a top-notch show, Warner has put together a hell of a DVD set for this release. Here's what extra features you can look forward to:

* Deleted Scenes - Eleven deleted scenes running about 18 minutes total.
* Deleted Animatics - 19 rougher-form deleted scenes, often composed of just sketches, running about 19 minutes total.
* Photo Gallery (3 minutes) - A pretty funny montage of photos.
* Animation Meetings (14 minutes) - Pitches for seven different sketches, mostly featuring Seth Green performing the different parts.
* Sweet J Presents (14 minutes) - An early version of Robot Chicken.
* Behind the Scenes (12 minutes) - Just what it sounds like.
* Wire Comparisons (5 minutes) - A before-and-after comparison of the show with and without special effects.
* Animatic-to-Episode Comparisons (5 minutes) - Basically a storyboard comparison feature.
* Alternate Audio Takes (4 minutes) - A collection of audio bloopers and rough takes.
* Promos (6 minutes) - 13 promo spots for the show.
* Bumps (10 minutes) - A collection of short, odd promos for the show.

The bottom line is this: if you don't enjoy laughing, then stay away from Robot Chicken. Other than that, run, don't walk to discover one of the greatest things ever put to the screen.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
